Queenstown Vacation

Recently I revisited the major tourism centre of New Zealand, Queenstown, and also was able to visit the beautiful Fiordland National Park. I have posted below the best of the photos which I took on my visit, and hope that you will enjoy seeing the splendor of New Zealand.

Queenstown Cityscape

The beautiful city of Queenstown, visited by famous celebrities including John Travolta (rumoured to have made a return trip) , and Robin Williams. Queenstown is known as the adventure capital of the world, home of bungy jumping, white water rafting, jet boating, and paragliding. For the fainthearted, there are other activities such as boat cruises, helicopter rides, a gondola ride up to the a Queenstown lookout, and golf at the world famous Millbrook Resort.

Fiordland - Milford Sound

The picturesque Milford Sound was a beautiful sight from our cruise ship, especially the many waterfalls running down the steep slopes of the mountains surrounding the sound.

Fiordland - The Chasm

A visit to the Chasm is an absolute must for anyone visiting this region. Beautiful naturally carved rocks surround gushing waters running through the Chasm. Untouched by man, the Chasm has an eerie feel about it, and is especially beautiful if witnessed during the New Zealand winter or early Spring months (June - September/October).
